Hockey Camp General Information
All IHS staff is trained and certified by the American Red Cross in First Aid and both Child and Adult CPR
Here at IHS, we value your family members as if they were our own. Your children's safety is our Number 1 concern.
Overnight Camp Student: Includes hockey camp program, all meals, housing and 24 hour supervision.
Day Camp Student: Includes hockey camp program, supervision and lunch. Students arrive for their first session and leave after their last afternoon session, returning for the evening game.
Check-In: Check in for most programs is on Sunday between 4-5:30pm.
Check-Out Detroit Lakes, MN: Check-out is Friday afternoon after the final game and awards ceremony.
Check-Out Fargo, ND: Check-out is on Friday afternoon after final game.
Supervision: The safety and well-being of each student is our primary concern. Our staff lives and works on the premises with the Overnight camp students and provides 24-hour supervision. Day camp students are supervised for all activities.
Student Behavior: Because of our concerns for each student’s safety, we have very strict rules of behavior. Misconduct, stealing or verbal/physical abuse toward others will result in immediate dismissal with no refund of any type. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco use is strictly forbidden.
Free Time Activities: Supervised free time includes but is not limited to swimming at the beach, water slide, bowling, & mini golf. Movies are shown every night and we have board games, chess and cards, a large game room and snack bar serving pizza, candy and ice cream treats.
We have recently added the Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center as a free time option for the hockey students. Activities at the center include swimming, hot tub, basketball and volleyball. To visit there website go to www.dlccc.org.
What’s Included: Players will receive a quality jersey, report cards, Personalized Player Portfolio, Certificate of Completion. Most programs start with late Sunday afternoon registration and are complete on Friday afternoon by 5pm.
EARLY SIGN-UP: Sign up before February 15 and receive a FREE International Hockey Schools Beanie Hat from the pro-shop at check-in!!!!

STAYOVER:
Students staying over Friday nights for departing flights on Saturday will not be charged a stayover fee. Meals are not included during this stay-over however students will be brought to local eating places for meals. You will be able to do your laundry, relax, and enjoy free time activities with our staff. More info will be provided in the registration packet.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Once registered, if you have to cancel (for any reason)
- -- Receive a credit for all Camp Tuition payments (deposit and final payment).
- -- A credit valid through 2011.
- -- The credit is transferable to any family member or friend.
DEPOSIT POLICY
- -- Deposits are availble by paying half of the camp price upon registration
- -- The back half of the payment will be charged on May 1
REFUND PROTECTION (RP)
- -- Can be purchased for $25 per session enrolled.
- -- With Refund Protection, cancel by May 15th, receive a refund of all Camp Tuition fees paid.
- -- Cancel after May 15th, receive a credit (with the same credit terms as above).
NO REFUND
If your child is asked to leave camp.
There will be NO REFUND of any kind for students expelled from school for disciplinary reasons. There will be NO REFUND for late arrival, early departures, change of plans or ill-fitting or missing equipment once school has started.
If you get sick or injured while at school, we will refund 50% of the unused portion of tuition paid in a letter of credit for any program in 2011. We must be notified of an injury or illness the day it occurs otherwise this offer is VOID. If you are injured or become sick and cannot leave the school, no credit will be given.
CAMP QUESTIONS
What happens if my camper attends two camps in a row?
We provide hockey camp students with a supervised Saturday night stay over for $50 at the Detroit Lakes. No meals are included during this stay over; however, our staff will transport hockey camp students to local eating establishments for their meals. During this supervised stay over, hockey camp students are able to do their laundry, relax and enjoy free time activities with our staff. More information will be provided in the registration packet.
How do you pick your coaches?
All of our hockey coaches are college and high school coaches. These coaches have been teaching our curriculums for several years. Meet our staff members here.
Do you offer group hockey camp discounts?
For groups of 5 or more we offer a $30 per player discount. Please contact us for details.
Is there a dress code for campers?
Yes, one of our goals at International Hockey Schools is to provide a good learning environment for all of our hockey campers. With this in mind, we have the discretion to decide on what is appropriate or inappropriate attire for girls and boys attending our hockey camps.
Clothing promoting alcohol, drugs or sexual innuendo will not be permitted. Shorts and pants are to be worn at the waist and tops that reveal bare-midriffs are not allowed.
International Hockey Schools holds to right to have students change their clothing if we feel it is inappropriate for our camp. If a camper chooses not to abide by our dress code, they will be dismissed with no refund of any type.
